Elizabeth Lake Bird Sanctuary in Cranbrook BC

Our trip to Cranbrook involved a little walk around Elizabeth Lake, while Rod explored some bike trails. We didn’t get too far because of the flooded obstacles and fallen trees but we still enjoyed seeing our first wild flower sighting, four turtles basking in the sun and lots of ducks and geese. We’ll be back to see how this sanctuary changes in the warmer months and dries up a bit more.
