Since Phoenix is getting closer to the point where I can do crafts with her, I am making a few fun things for her to play with. One of the first things I wanted to do was make some stamps for her. I was so happy with the first 10 I made, I added about a dozen more the next day. I came across the idea somewhere on the world wide web (I’m not an original thinker here) and I just went from memory…it’s pretty easy.
All I did was slice up a scrap piece of wood we had in the shop, sand them down, cut my awesome shapes out of the foam paper, stamp the blocks first with the shapes and then glued them on the block. To give it a little finish and protection, I painted a couple layers of mod podge to the tops. And now I have a bunch of stamps that I love to play with more than Phoenix.
The next step is to find child friendly ink pads.
